Cancellation Policy:

At Masaya Massage, we understand that life can be unpredictable, and sometimes you need to adjust your plans. We value your time and ours, and we strive to create a fair and respectful environment for all our clients.

To ensure that we can provide the best possible service to everyone, we have the following cancellation policy:

Making Changes to Your Appointment:

We kindly request that you provide us with at least 12 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This allows us to offer your appointment time to another  client who may be waiting for an opening.

Late Cancellations (Less Than 12 Hours' Notice):

We understand that unexpected situations can arise. If you need to cancel your appointment with less than 12 hours' notice, a late cancellation fee of 30% of the scheduled service price will be applied to your account.

No-Shows:

If you miss your appointment without providing any prior notice, a no-show fee of 30% of the scheduled service price will be applied to your account.

Late Arrival Policy:

If you arrive late for your appointment we will need to end the appointment at the time it was originally scheduled to finish at. This is so that our therapists can prepare their treatment rooms for the next client and start the next client’s session on time.

Purpose:

Masaya Massage is committed to providing a safe and effective infrared sauna experience for all clients. This policy outlines guidelines for the proper use of our infrared sauna to ensure the comfort, safety, and well-being of all users.

Guidelines:

1. Towel Policy: For hygiene and comfort, all sauna users must use a towel provided by Masaya Massage. The towel should be placed on the bench or seat before use. Please return the towel to the designated area after your session.
    
2. Music Policy: To maintain a tranquil and relaxing atmosphere, music in the sauna area will be kept at a minimal volume. We kindly request that clients refrain from bringing personal music devices or playing loud music.
    
3. Health Conditions: Clients with certain health conditions, such as heart disease, high blood pressure, or pregnancy, should consult with their doctor before using the infrared sauna. Please inform our therapist of any health concerns prior to your session.
    
4. Hydration: It is crucial to stay hydrated before, during, and after using the sauna. Drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration.
    
5. Session Duration: We recommend limiting your sauna session to 15-20 minutes, especially for first-time users. Listen to your body and exit the sauna immediately if you feel uncomfortable.
    
6. Attire: Appropriate attire for the sauna includes swimwear, a towel wrap, or lightweight, loose-fitting clothing.
    
7. Cleanliness: Please help us maintain a clean and sanitary environment. Avoid bringing food or drinks into the sauna. Wipe down any perspiration or spills after your session.
    
8. Privacy: We respect your privacy. The sauna is for individual use or for those sharing a session together. Therapist will knock before entering.

Appointments and Scheduling

• Booking:  Appointments can be made online, by phone, or by chat messages. We recommend booking in advance to secure your preferred time.
• Arrival: Please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to allow time for check-in and consultation.
• Late Arrivals: If you arrive late, your session may be shortened to avoid inconveniencing other clients. The full session fee will still apply.

Health and Hygiene

• Health Conditions: Please inform your therapist of any health conditions or concerns you may have before your massage. This includes pregnancy, injuries, allergies, or medications.
• Hygiene: We maintain high standards of hygiene. All linens and equipment are sanitized after each use. Therapists wash their hands thoroughly before and after each session.

Client Conduct

• Communication: Please communicate your preferences and needs to your therapist. Feel free to ask questions or express any concerns during your session.
• Appropriate Attire:  For your comfort and the therapist's ease of access, please wear loose-fitting clothing that allows for movement.
• Cell Phones: Please silence your cell phone to maintain a relaxing atmosphere.

Proper draping techniques are used at all times to ensure your privacy and comfort.

All client information and health histories are kept strictly confidential.

Payment

We accept cash, credit cards, and debit cards. Payment is due at the time of service.

Gratuities

Gratuities are appreciated but not expected.

We have a zero tolerance policy and any sexual advances, innuendo, or inappropriate touching will not be tolerated and is grounds for immediate termination of your session.

Massage therapy and bodywork are intended to enhance relaxation, reduce pain, increase range of motion, improve circulation, and offer a positive experience of touch. Massage therapists do not diagnose illness, disease, or any other physical or mental disorders. As such, massage therapists do not prescribe medical treatment or pharmaceuticals, nor do they perform spinal manipulations.  Massage is not a substitute for medical treatment or diagnoses, and it is recommended that you see a physician for any conditions that you may have.
